Agile team development

What does this training include?

To achieve an effective, pleasant and self-organising collaboration in a team, you must work on building up a positive mindset and organisational culture. Teamwork promotes trust, and knowledge of the qualities of your team-mates. The Agile team development training course helps individuals or even whole teams collaborate more effectively and productively.

What does this Agile team development training cover?

In this two-day training course, you’ll learn how to get to know team members better, how to understand how others feel, and also how to determine the overarching goal of a team. We’ll cover topics such as making use of all the qualities available in the team, shared goals, specific team goals, projects, project delivery, team values and agreements. The projects end up in an Agile portfolio. This portfolio lets you improve the transparency of collective actions and shared goals. It also lets you focus on priorities together and determine who is looking after what. This two-day training course covers the following content:
  • How to work efficiently together as a team and individually as a team member
  • How to communicate openly and build trust
  • How to give and receive feedback and deal with conflicts in the team
  • How to set a (more ambitious) goal for the team and pursue it
  • The values of your team and how to develop a high-performance team
  • How self-organisation fits in with your team and organisation
The training makes extensive use of practical simulations. This takes place in a safe environment, with mutual respect and support. We work with the most common theories concerning team development, such as:
  • Lencioni, The Five Dysfunctions of a Team
  • Hershey Blanchard, Situational Leadership
  • Tuckman, Stages of Group Development
  • Marston, DISC model
  • Karasek, Job Demand-Control Model
  • Bennis & Shepard, Group Stages Model

Distinction between open and in-house registration

This training may be provided with open registration or as an in-house training course. Naturally this involves some differences in the structure of the training. Because the team is already together in an in-house training session, we can get straight to matters such as getting to know the values and ambitions of individual team members, setting a shared goal and collectively creating an agile project portfolio for the team. Note: This training requires prior theoretical knowledge of the role of Scrum Master at least.
