Meet:
Ronny Veen

Ronny Veen

My name is:

Ronny, born and raised in Groningen. My love for working with self-organising teams and team development originated in my sports activities during my studies. I have enjoyed coaching and training sports teams for the past 15 years. In all that, the simple central question for me was: (and still is) “How can we get it done together?” How can we always keep getting one step better and achieve the goal we want so badly? What is the very next step and let’s just do it!

I got connected with lean and scrum through various employers. I underwent agile transformations and that gave birth to my first role as ‘coach’. The agile philosophy, and especially scrum, fits in perfectly with where my heart lies in sports. I wanted to do more with it. That’s why I put on my ‘naughty shoes’ and became an independent consultant. I specialised in agile work with, among others, LEAN and Scrum, and started doing what I was already doing in sports; help people (in teams) and the organisation around them develop, to enable them to grow and perform optimally and with pleasure as a team.

I now use the experience I have gained from, among others, my sports and work practice at Agile Scrum Group to help teams and organisations in the agile (scrum) practice.

Five terms that describe me:

Sporty, goal oriented, accessible, creative, doer.

I do:

I coach and train teams and organisations in the field of Agile and Scrum at Agile Scrum Group. Let’s work together to see what your next step in the chosen direction will be and let’s do it. Because as Carl Jung writes: “We are what we do, not what we say we will do!”

In my spare time:

There are many fun activities I like to do. I like to spend time with my family and friends and take part in sports. I play tennis and do boot camps all year round and in the summer, I like to relax on the water in a sailboat and play beach volleyball. During the winter months, I also try to go skating as often as possible. Doing all these fun activities means that my drum kit is sometimes covered in a layer of dust, but a good drum session always helps to get rid of it!

I experience working at Agile Scrum Group as:

A very nice and free experience! An open and informal atmosphere that leaves enough room for entrepreneurship and creativity. We are all jointly responsible for everything that happens in Agile Scrum Group. As inspired and enthusiastic colleagues, we are constantly learning from one another.
