Rik van der Wardt

My name is:

Rik van der Wardt, born in Hilversum, I studied in Eindhoven and I live in Amsterdam. After completing my studies in Industrial Engineering & Management, I spent two years at a larger consultancy firm and developed my enthusiasm for Agile Scrum. Most of my projects were in the healthcare or education sectors. I noticed that, in those sectors, the work towards a result is often done in complex or cumbersome ways that the end customer is not always completely satisfied with. I am convinced that we can make work more enjoyable by keeping work processes simple and by giving each other responsibility and trust. That way, you can achieve the best results for your customer with a group of motivated employees!

Five terms that describe me:

Optimistic, understanding, entrepreneurial, flexible, inquisitive.

I do:

At Agile Scrum Group, I advise and train clients in the field of Agile Scrum. Thanks to my background at TU Delft, I also feel comfortable in projects with a more quantitative nature. I also have knowledge of website development and search engine optimisation.

In my spare time:

I spend most of my free time with friends, luckily! I also play the piano almost every day. I prefer to play classical music, but I also like to play and perform with bands. I do a lot of running and would like to learn a new team sport in the years ahead. I try to read at least one fiction and one non-fiction book every month.

I experience working at Agile Scrum Group as:

Really nice! It was a conscious decision to go for Scrum, because I really believe in it. And it is also cool to cooperate in the development of a young company and to take it to the next level.
